3. Purpose of Collection and Use
Personal information is collected and used solely for legitimate healthcare and professional purposes, including:
Assessing, diagnosing, and providing acupuncture and related treatments
Developing and maintaining clinical records
Communicating with you regarding appointments and care
Processing payments and issuing receipts
Meeting legal, regulatory, professional, and insurance obligations
Information is not used for marketing without your explicit consent.
4. Storage, Security, and Record Keeping
Acu Point Collective takes reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, loss, unauthorised access, or disclosure.
Clinical records and health information are securely stored using Cliniko, a cloud-based practice management system that complies with Australian privacy and health data security standards.
Payment information is processed securely via Square. Acu Point Collective does not store full credit or debit card details.
Records are retained in accordance with CMBA, AHPRA, and legal record-keeping requirements.
5. Disclosure of Information
Personal information is treated as confidential and will only be disclosed:
With your consent
To other healthcare providers involved in your care (with consent)
Where required or authorised by law
For professional, legal, or insurance purposes
Acu Point Collective does not sell or rent personal information to third parties.
